AASSTC is an organization of senior citizens 60 years of age and older with a passion for high-energy activities, including competitive tennis. It is also dedicated to the growth of tennis through its tennis programs for children and youth. The group engages in a variety of activities designed to promote physical health and social well being and is well known for its signature events and activities.

The AASSTC, since its inception in 2001, has vigorously supported tennis through provision of volunteer administrative and clerical support at the American Tennis Association national headquarters in Largo, Maryland.

Sport of a Lifetime Luncheon held annually in April, is designed to honor AASSTC octogenarians on their accomplishments as tennis players while highlighting some of their achievements in life. Currently 16 members have been inducted into the “AASSTC Octogenarian Hall of Fame” as testament that “tennis is the sport of a lifetime” To read more, please see this month’s issue of Black Tennis Magazine.
